Sunderland striker Healy joins Doncaster on loan

Northern Ireland's all-time record goalscorer David Healy has moved on loan from Sunderland to Doncaster Rovers.

Healy, 31, has not made a single appearance for Sunderland this season and drops down to the Championship in an effort to enjoy regular first-team football.

Doncaster have captured the striker on loan for one month and he has already linked up with the club ahead of Saturday's game against Millwall.

Healy has scored just twice in 21 appearances for Sunderland and spent a spell on loan at Ipswich last season, scoring once in 12 games.

His patchy form at club level is in contrast to his international performances as Healy boasts 35 goals in 84 games for his country.
