Prandelli names experimental Italy squad for friendly

Italy coach Cesare Prandelli has named an experimental squad for their friendly against Romania.

Prandelli is taking this opportunity to experiment with his squad for Wednesday’s match in Klagenfurt.

Cristian Ledesma is the one who stands out, as the Lazio midfielder is from Argentina and has made himself available for the Azzurri.

He joins fellow Oriundi Mauro Camoranesi and Amauri in recently accepting a switch to the Nazionale.

The team will come together at the Coverciano training ground on Monday morning.

Goalkeepers: Mirante (Parma), Sirigu (Palermo), Viviano (Bologna);

Defenders: Astori (Cagliari), Balzaretti (Palermo), Bonucci (Juventus), Cassani (Palermo), Criscito (Genoa), Gastaldello (Sampdoria), Ranocchia (Genoa), Santon (Inter);

Midfielders: Aquilani (Juventus), De Rossi (Roma), Diamanti (Brescia), Ledesma (Lazio), Marchisio (Juventus), Mauri (Lazio), Pirlo (Milan);

Forwards: Balotelli (Manchester City), Gilardino (Fiorentina), Pazzini (Sampdoria), Quagliarella (Juventus), Rossi (Villarreal)
