Man Utd fullback Evra eyeing Real Madrid move

Manchester United fullback Patrice Evra is eyeing a move to Real Madrid.

The Mirror says Evra reportedly wants to join Real Madrid in the summer.

The French full-back is currently in talks with Old Trafford chiefs about extending his current contract, which ends in June 2012.

However, a club source allegedly claims that Evra would also like to move to Spain at the end of the season, and is willing to sign a new deal in order to maximise his re-sale value.

“Patrice originally wanted to leave in January but now he is happy to sign a new contract and leave at the end of the season,” said a United source. “He is concerned about where the club are heading and is attracted by the possibility of playing for Real, a club he really admires.”

“Evra was the most angry when Rooney said he was going to leave and criticised the quality of the squad but that doesn’t mean he swears blind loyalty to Manchester United.

"Like any player, he wants what is best for himself and his family and sees Real Madrid as the perfect move.”
